How many times have you Spoken to friends or family and said: “Ugh, I didn’t sleep last night.” Only to have them reply: “OMG neither did I! I wish I knew you were up as well, I would have liked to have chatted.” Considering the statistics, it is not surprising if it has happened to you. Most insomniacs or people dealing with bouts of insomnia feel frustrated and tired of the sleepless cycle.
We have personally tried meditation, reading, social media, tv, pills and even moving to another room. In our experience, none are a realistic way for people with insomnia to consistently fall asleep. These “remedies” left us emotionally drained, frustrated, anxious, and still very tired.
So we wondered, what if we flipped the idea that people need to fix their insomnia by making insomnia an opportunity instead of a problem?
Noctis Alba does just that, by making it possible to tell people you are awake and want to talk/text without sending them an alert and possibly waking them. Allowing for the opportunity of connecting and having more meaningful hours in your day, no matter what time it is. At Noctis Alba, we hope to offer night owls, secure meaningful connections.
Julie provides a unique perspective and background the project team needs. While being a self proclaimed insomniac herself, she is able to voice the core users view point and needs. Her involvement in the .com world (Agency.com NYC/London 1999-2001), along with her current position creating a customer experience program for a Fortune 200 company, Julie comes to the project with knowledge and understanding the need for innovation and collaboration to implement successful strategies and vision. With her major in Communication Design and 2 start-ups under her belt, Julie is prepared to not just hit the ground running but make sure that ground is solid and ready for growth.
